Welcome to Griots Lounge

Amplifying the voices of Minority African-Canadian Authors

Griots Lounge

An imprint of Griots Lounge Publishing Canada that takes care of publications of fiction, nonfiction and poetry by minority Canadian writers of African origin. The imprint, which will temporarily take care of the Young Adult genre, is poised to build a synergy between Canadian literature and the African style of writing.

Nwata

An imprint of Griots Lounge Publishing Canada that focuses on juvenile literature by African-Canadian authors and African authors around the world. Nwata, simply means 'a child' in the Igbo language of southeastern Nigeria, will try to engage Canadian children in varieties of stories and cultures from around the world and especially from the continents of North America and Africa.

About Us
